South East Queenslanders can now claim a Services Australia (Centrelink) payment for rain and flood damage caused by Cyclone Alfred. This disaster payment can help you to fix your damaged sewer and storm water systems, and other plumbing issues in your home.
Cyclone Disaster Payment
The Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) allows homeowners in cyclone affected areas to claim a one off payment of $1,000 per adult and $400 per child living in the affected home.
How to Claim for Cyclone Damage to Your Home
The disaster recovery payment is designed for Australians adversely impacted by water entering your house during Cyclone Alfred. This water and debris would not have entered their homes if the cyclone had not happened.
